What are the Jeux Du Commerce?

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

January 1989 is a memorable date as it represents the beginning of a long tradition known as the Jeux du Commerce (JDC). This annual event was founded by Patrice Bourbonnais, an ambitious HEC Montréal undergraduate, who sought to bring together commerce students from all across the province.

Two decades later, the event has grown to include 11 universities from across Quebec and 2 from Eastern Canada, making it the largest and most respected case competition in the country.

The objectives of the Jeux Du Commerce are twofold; firstly it intends to promote interaction amongst undergraduate business students from different universities. Secondly, it aims to establish meaningful relationships between the academic and business communities. In addition, the competition encourages resourcefulness, innovation, and the evolution of ideas.
